On Liu Yuxi's Changhe Poems

Changhe poems(poem of writing and replying) are a particular category of the Chinese ancient poems. Its origin could be traced back to the end of eastern jin dynasty and reached its most prosperous period in tang dynasty ,especially in the middle phase of tang dynasty when the atmosphere of changhe poems became the dominant form in the circle of poets .as the outstanding poet of the middle tang dynasty ,liu yuxi was influenced by this atmosphere,and wrote a lot of changhe poems.there are about more than 250 changhe poems ,one third of 819 poems by liu yuxi.only a few studies could be found on liu yuxi's changhe poems in academic circles,and they mainly focus on the writing and replying between liu yuxi and others.therefore,probing into liu yuxi's changhe poems as a whole and at the macro-level has its academic significance.The whole article can be devided into four parts.the first part focuses on the editing and arranging of liu yuxi's changhe poems.in the second part,the author analyzed the reasons of writing changhe poems form the subjective and objective perspectives.in the third part,the contents of liu yuxi's changhe poems are explored from the following four facets:1)poems on politics belief and dreams.2)poems on true feelings and philosophical theory of life.3)poems on the scenery and objects.4)poems on religion.in the last part ,the author analyzed the structure characteristics of liu yuxi's changhe poems from the three aspects,i.e.theme relation between writing poems and replying poems,the types of changhe poems and circulational form of the recycling writing and replying.
