Driving fatigue is defined as the decreased reaction level after a long time driving process. Nowadays driving fatigue is considered as one of the main reasons for the occurrence of traffic accidents, but evaluation and monitoring methods remained immature for the poor understanding of its formation mechanism. With the development of brain imaging methods and cognition neuroscience, it's possible to study systematically the process of cognition and the neural mechanism of fatigue and to establish a reliable fatigue assessment system. Among various technique methods, the event-related potential (ERP), which points to the potential change related to special psychological events, is becoming an important detecting method in researches on driving fatigue. This study is consisted of two kinds of research works:â‘ In Go/Nogo model, by using the single/double letters as the stimulus, late ERP components from 15 subjects in driving group or 15 subjects in control group before or after fatigue were compared to evaluate the influence of fatigue on the conflict-control and selected attention induced by visual-letter stimuli.â‘¡Also in Go/Nogo model, but by using the pictures of red/green lamp as the stimulus, late ERP components from subjects in driving group or control group before or after fatigue were compared to evaluate the influence of fatigue on the...
