In the early 20th century, China had been in drastic politica 1 changes. In the revolution, the issue of farmers had been pushed to the forefront and become the testing standards of success of the Chinese revolution. In the meantime, the Chinese Modern literature, which was influenced by western current of thought, was developing gradually and got matured. The native literature became the idea that the author promoted in succession. Because the modern rural novel was true to life, and rich of local flavor, it turned out the writing current.After 30's, the Bashu rural novelists, who were represented by Shating, Aiwu, Li Jieren, Zhouwen, Luoshu, appeared on the stage of the literary circles and met with success. Their novels were characterized by Bashu culture. Sichuan Basin situated in inland areas, and was surrounded by mountains, so the influence of Chinese feudal culture was hindered. As a result, the Bashu culture showed its special character. The Bashu rural novelists, influenced by Bashu culture, expressed the character of Bashu culture and presented special character in the works. Finally, the Sichuan writer group of rural novel is formed.Getting into lately period, Chinese villages and farmers are in a new condition. The numerous social activities and multiple culture collision provide a new topic and vision to writers. So, a lot of important writers and works appear. On the contrary, Sichuan rural novel is in the depressed time. This paper tries to discuss the possibility of breaking new ground of Sichuan rural novel by two ways , changing standpoints...
