India is one of the oldest civilized countries in the world, and she is well known for her long history and rich culture. As one of China's neighbors, a long-term relationship has been developed between the two countries. In mid 1900s, the two countries begun to take great strides along the road of independent and autonomous development in succession and once established a fraternal relationship. However the mutual friendly relationship didn't last long, in 1950s, it saw the odds between two countries, until it resorts to arm force to settle the problems. In the last 30 years, under the mutual efforts, it saw a constant improvement of the Indian-Chinese relationship. However, there still have some sensitive problems which need to be settled effectively, for instance, boundary dispute, Tibet problem, regional security, etc, which all hamper the healthy development of their relationship. In recent years, China gain enormous progress in economic and social development, at the same time, India also experiences tremendous change, with economy developing, arm force strengthening and international influence growing. According to the current situation, the rise of India is inevitable, although the process is open to dispute, which arise the attention of international society. As a neighbor that shares 2000 kilometers boundary and has some historical and realistic problems with India, Chinese must deal this problems seriously: properly draw up China-India policy and carefully treat China-India relation.
