Study On Eccentric God

Basic thought of the myths on eccentric god, the myths on flood and the myths on abandoned infant is extremely similar, because these three kinds of mythical systems all contain the basic thought of "revived from death ". There are always such plots as flooding disasters, brothers marrying sisters and begetting offspring in Chinese and Japanese myths on flood, these three plots consists of the topic of "intercourse "and "revived from death ". Further more, topic of the myths on abandoned infant is "the infant was born" and "revived from death ". As the descendant of flooding marriage between brother and sister, the Japanese flooding eccentric god Hiruko(Shuizhi son) · Kagutsuti has something both in common and in difference with Chinese flooding eccentric god. But unlike Chinese Flooding Eccentric God who was killed before becoming human, Hiruko was abandoned on a boat and banished to the sea and Kagutsuti was killed by the father god and then was revived as every gods. Chinese flooding eccentric god is the god of mountain clan; Hiruko is the god of ocean clan; Kagutsuti is the god of hinterland clan. Then these three mythical systems are different, so those bifurcations came into being. But if the deficiency of Hiruko and Kagutsuti could be supplied by themselves each other, Japanese eccentric god will immediately become Chinese flooding eccentric god.
