Interaction is the fundamental fact of classroom pedagogy because everything that happens in the classroom happens through a process of live person-to-person interaction. Real English classroom interaction is a process of reciprocal influence between teacher and students as well as between students involving emotion, thoughts and language. Affective interaction is the basis of classroom interaction; Cognitive interaction is the soul; Linguistic interaction is the goal. The three sorts of interaction exist dynamically, which enable language learners improve their communicative competence in an open, adjustable and meaningful environment through an interactive process. However, lacking interaction is a common phenomenon in HVTE English classrooms. Teaching strategies studied in this thesis are a bridge connecting theory and practice.Such research methods as literature study, interview, classroom observation and questionnaire are adopted. The thesis first summarizes theory on classroom interaction, then analyzes problems and influencing factors of HVTE English classroom interaction, and especially, proposes a series of strategies for implementing classroom interaction in HVTE classrooms: 1. to change role beliefs of the teacher and students as well as their beliefs in language learning; 2. to provide appropriate feedbacks both affectively and cognitively so as for teachers to create positive classroom atmosphere; 3. to improve teacher' s questioning strategies by raising more referential questions rather than just display questions; 4. to implement group work skillfully; 5. to design tasks stimulating students' thinking and interests. Topics need to be closely connected with students' life experience. Various activity forms such as language games, brainstorming, role-playing and discussion can be used; 6. to cultivate students' classroom interactive competence. The last chapter is the author's interaction practice in HVTE English classrooms using these strategies. It is hoped that this research can help to promote the implementing of HVTE English classroom interaction and improve HVTE English teaching effect.
