A Comparison On Philosophy Thought Between Yan Yuan And So-rai

Yan Yuan is a famous Confucian , philosopher and thinker in early Qing dynasty. So-rai is a renowned philosopher in the Japanese Tokugawa time intermediate stage. They lived in approximately close time. Their philosophy thought displayed similarity with each other, and demonstrated the Chinese and Japanese Confucianism common trend in 17th century later. Because the national condition was different, the life experience and the thinking mode respectively different, Their thought also have the different characteristic. This article seeks the comparison "the connection territory" contacting with their social background and life experience which their thought formed .The article carries on the comparison from the epistemology, the theory of human nature and the theory of economy and politics three aspects.In the epistemology, Yan Yuan and So-rai based on the experience, and emphasized the knowledge key point on the concrete reality thing ,"took the thing as the body". Yan Yuan advocated strongly "three matters and three things" studying, and considered practice is the true way obtained file knowledge and the essential method of moral tutelage. So-rai took sage's principles as first, and achieved unification between subject and object through non-rational "realization", finally grasped the essence.In the theory of human nature, Yan Yuan and So-rai criticized the Song-Confucian theory of human nature, and granted the sole nature of temper. However, the human nature connotation which two people mentioned wasn't same. Yan Yuan's natural disposition still persisted Mencius' theory of" Humanity is friendly ", regarded morals as human's essence. So-rai thought the human nature is human's candid condition, and only is congenital existence.
