This thesis researched the concept, health, and significance of river's natural life fundamentally by the numbers.River's natural life is a new concept, its orientation and definition is not based on traditional biological definition, but on the organism character and unitary of non-live whole. The characteristic of river's natural life conclude unification of fontal nature and tectonic nature, unification of diversity and integrity, unification of stability and undulation, unification of having inherent goals and transeunt character as instrument. Its essence is an ideaistic revolution in understanding rivers, to renew the organic integrity of rivers, and an exaltation of river ethic. River's natural life divides into natural, humanized, and artificial river's natural life, the second is the most important object in this research. Whereas humanized river consists of headstream ecosystem, riverway ecosystem, project system on riversides, human social and economy system, estuary ecosystem. To keeping fit evolution of humanized river's natural life develop, we should understand the integrity of structural factors, the finitude of effect, the stabilization of fluctuating, and the hysteresis of reciprocity.River's natural life has its healthy way to exist, regard that as a framework of apperceiving earth's ecosystem world. There are three significances: The first, there is significance of the life's fountainhead and construct bio-diversity on earth. The second, there is significance of the change people's tune about worth view, to establish new value thought that river and human depend on each other for existence. The third, it is significant for establishing a justice relation between human and river, extend the scopes of right.
