| The People's Literature was created to publish in October, 1949, which was at the same age with the People's Republic of China. It's no doubt that The People's Literature plays an important role and has a far-reaching influence in the late 20CN. Because of its special status, the journal is always sensitive towards the political climate.After the Cultural Revolution, China entered an era of reconstruction in mainstream ideology and cognition reorganization. This paper observes some varieties after the Cultural Revolution in china, from three aspects according to The People's Literature in 1978. Chapter 1 is mainly about the structure, focuses on the following characteristics: overall renascence of literary style, very extensive subjects but monotonous topic. Chapter 2 examines the content of the Literature and discloses the contradiction with support for the Cultural Revolution and criticism towards the Siren bang. Chapter 3 investigates three relations contained in the journal: the relation between literature and politics, collectivism and individualism, true expression and exaggerations.The paper attempts to analyze various thinking modes in the transitional period with the case study of The People's Literature in 1978, and its literature reflections as well, which hopefully can review the hardness of the history and its transformations. |
