Several hundred years have passed,< The Journey to the West> which is the best god-evil novel has been popular. It broght many continuous books. The study object of this thesis are three continuous books of < The Journey to the West> which naissanced between late Ming dynasty. And Qing dynasty: < The Sequel of the Journey to the West>, < The extended Story of the Journey to the West>and.< The Additional Story of the Journey to the West> however, they are not as good as .So research about them is not enough. This thesis will discuss the three books reasonedly from two aspects, which is decided by the twofold character of these continuous books. Transversely, as absolute works, the continuous books of < The Journey to the West> are texts containing ideology, character, narrating skill etc. therefore, and this thesis is make up of five devision. The first chapter is discussion about the naissance of the continuous books of < The Journey to the West>.The second chapter is the introduction of ideology of the continuous books of < The Journey to the West>.The third chapter is analyses on the continuous books of < The Journey to the West> referring to the narrative theory. The forth chapter is analyses on the character of the continuous books of < The Journey to the West>.The last chapter is comment on the artistic achievement of the continuous books of < The Journey to the West>. Lengthways, the creative way of these three books show the transformation of ancient Chinese Chapter novels. In conclusion, this thesis will give an all-around and in-depth show of the continuous books of < The Journey to the West>.
