It centrally reflects the relationship and characteristic between culture and politics, national salvation.The assembly of the famous literary men is naturally its outstanding characteristic. Human being's activities are an important factor which constitutes the"city", GuiLin in 1938 was still under the control of warlords of Cui. However the contradictions between the warlords of Cui and the clique of Jiang Jieshi, formed a special and relatively loose Circumstance. The literary men could took activities freely in this"Cultural place", which was under the rule .During this period of time, the books, newspapers and migraines which were published in GuiLin occupied over two thirds of the national circulation. The activities of many kinds of the cultural groups are an exceptionally grand occasion. In the spring of 1944, the first Opera Exhibition in Xi'an pushed it to the climax, which had been a symbolic activity.
