Reach On Consumption Ethics Of Pre-Qin Taoism And Its Enlightenment

The emergence of worsening environment crisis has made people to pay more attention to the relations between humans and nature: what is the relation between man and nature, antagonism or partnership? What roles do people play or should play? What is the fundamental cause of Earth's environment crisis? In this process of reflection, it has been found that the root causes of environmental degradation is the result of opposites between man and nature, that is to say, these are the negative consequences that human beings think of themselves as the master and the domination of the natural objects and use the nature as objects of pure consumption. Therefore, if people want to get rid of the environmental crisis, mankind must abandon traditional ethical consumption concept and greedy consumption on life style. Meanwhile, man should set up new consumption ethics and advocate new consumption civilization under the sense of harmony between humanity and the nature. Just under the influence of this concept, we found that some fundamental spirit and value orientation of traditional Chinese culture in the reaction, especially Pre-Qin Taoism's consumption ethics are compatible with present day's consumption ethics and deserve deep into research because it advocate that man should protect nature and harmony with nature.However, to study the idea of Taoism's consumption ethics, we must proceed from Taoism's philosophy origin–"Tao"because that "Tao" is not only the origin of its presumptive ontology, the more important, the "Tao" is also the life theory of Taoism and its values source. Taoism consumption ethics is only the moral behavior reflection on their consumption. Therefore, through analysis, we found that the central idea of Tao's metaphysics ontology is the creation theory of"material come from nothing", in which "Tao is ruled by the nature" become its highest principle,"People are my brothers and all things are my brothers"and"the harmony between man and all things"is its essential values. In this way,by use of Taoism's particular opinion that"nature"is the fundamental law of the universe and of human society,"Tao is ruled by the nature" can be used for the value orientations of pre-Qin Taoism's consumption ethics generally and"non-action"for its principal character .These include a lots values such as" harmony between man and nature,""People are my brothers and all things are my brothers",and show Taoism's yearning of ideal realm of living a simple peaceful life under the idea of"human and...
