In order to realize the development of Chinese International promotion, the teaching method should transfer from face-to-face teaching with texts to teaching with modern information technology such as multimedia and network. In the design of the courseware, it's very important to choose a right way of representing the medium. What the designer of courseware urgently need now is to find how to choose a right medium representation mode, according to different teaching contents and objects. As an important way of representation, image representation mode is more direct than texts, and it can express more information, when comparing with texts delivery. Animation and picture are two main ways of image representation mode.This research tries to begin with the representing way, in the form of writing with pictures. In this essay, first of all, we choose animation and pictures and contrast the differences among the results on the students' writing with pictures; then draw a conclusion in order to provide some practical evidence for the design and development of multimedia courseware in the future.
