During the traditional teaching activities, compared to grammar and vocabulary, not all the teachers emphasize the arrangement of information. There is a discrepancy between English and Chinese text patterns. Thought patterns and cultural factors are considered the main reasons. English writing teaching can be done from text-pattern perspective. Teachers should raise students'awareness of difference between English and Chinese thought patterns and cultures, and guide students to improve their reasoning and inferring abilities.
