Gender Language Prototype And Its Realization In Communication

Gender language is the realization of the profound and complicated consciousness about gender that is embedded in and hidden behind a language. In everyday life, misunderstanding and even conflicts occur resulting from people's unawareness of gender language and the causes behind it. Therefore, it is of great significance to know about it and take full advantage of it.By using the prototype theory as a tool, based on a relatively systematic study and analysis of the differences in using a language by the male and the female and sexism in language, the thesis is trying to show that the main cause of this phenomenon is the gender culture subordinate to the traditional and dominated one besides the biological and psychological reasons. It is due to the different social and cultural expectations towards different sexes. At the same time, the thesis aims to make it clear that gender is relative, and is always in a dynamic process. It is hoped that it may help people to take proper attitude towards the phenomenon as well as to develop the awareness of it, so that people can have more choices of styles and skills to obtain effective communication and meet their various needs.
