Discussion Of Regional Features Of Chongqing Landscape Paintings Art From Sino-Japanese To 1980s

IN the context of globalization, the relationship between each country and region's politics, economy, culture and art is close and complex. Proceeding from profound reflection and exploration to the trend of traditional Chinese painting in new age, this article strives to explore more connotation of regional culture, strengthen the meaning of regional culture's feature and pay special attention to its importance. This paper also try to explore the living pattern, thinking characteristic, value orientation and taste traits of regional culture from Chongqing artists' works, and then definite the "character" of regional art.The whole article is comprised of 4 sections:1. Introduction; Surveying current studies of Chongqing landscape painting in order to reveal the meaning of studying regional feature, explaining study methods and locate study period and introducing main artists groups.2. Analyzing and elaborating main influential factors of Chongqing landscape painting's regional feature, such as Geography view, regional culture and painting tradition of Chongqing, so as to study Chongqing landscape painting's regional character concretely and further.3. Analyzing Chongqing landscape paintings worked from Sino-Japanese War to 1980s , combining data and interview materials to some painters and announcing the unique theme, language, conception and connotation in order to find the character of Chongqing landscape painting.4. Presenting features of Chongqing landscape painting from all angles, and exploring its impartible relationship to regional culture.From these, we could see that: to those landscape painters in Chongqing who have lived in this city for long, mountains and rivers and cultures in Chongqing have blended in their blood, therefore, their paintings have presented distinct regional features. And just because of this, land-scape painting of Chongqing has had its unique personality. This personality must be kept down and inherited, and only doing this can landscape painting of Chongqing take his seat in artistic circles.
