The Research For Soap Opera Of Living Space And Countermeasures Of Development In China

Soap opera, originally coming from America, has set up a mature structure and style with special genre characters, models of producing and broadcasting and expert audiences after about half a century's development. As a kind of foreign program modality, soap opera is currently suffering environment problems resulting from the differences in broadcasting circumstance and contents of narration, etc. in China. Along with the progressive deepening of globalization and image culture, soap opera is provided with enormous commercial profits resulting from its lower costs and larger audiences; meanwhile, thousands of television programs and hundreds of millions of television audiences offer it a definite surviving condition.This article start with theories about soap opera in America and British, and try to analysis and summarize the producing rules according to its essential characteristic, and further more, to discuss the issues about existence and development of soap opera in China in order to put forward some effective countermeasures to the problems.Aiming at these pursuits, this article is divided into five parts: the first chapter is the foreword, which summarizes the general study harvests and introduces the backgrounds, purposes and methods of this research; the second chapter expatiates the genre characters, models of producing and broadcasting and expert audiences of soap operas in America and British; the third chapter, compared with the second chapter, analysis the conception, phylogeny and evolvements of soap opera in China, for purpose of clarifying what's the gains and loss in local soap operas'production; the fourth chapter is about the living space for soap operas in current China, and it's clear that there are both advantages and difficulties for local soap operas'survival; in the last part of this article, some countermeasures are offered to resolve the problems and difficulties for soap opera in current China.
