On The Piano-performing Of Liao Sheng Jing's "Twenty-four Piano Preludes"

Liao Shengjing(1929—) is one of the most famous contemporary composers in China. In this thesis, a specific and detailed statement on"Twenty-four Piano Preludes", a piano divertimento created by him and coinciding the scenes of twenty-four traditional solar terms in China, shall be made from the aspect of piano-performing. The content is divided into four parts as following:Chapter one: The brief introduction of Liao's life and his works in composing. In this chapter, the life, experience and creation of his main works shall be introduced.Chapter two: The emergence and development of the preludes. In this chapter, the composing of preludes in Europe and China shall be discussed from the birth of it.Chapter three: The analysis of piano-performing of Liao's"Twenty-four Piano Preludes". The author will make a detailed statement in the music structure, the music expression and performing skills.Chapter four: The contribution of Liao to music and his role in music history."Twenty-four Piano Preludes"of Liao Shengjing is quite unique in the Chinese piano works. As a piano teacher for piano majors in college, the author hopes to try her best for the introducing the masterpieces of the contemporary Chinese composers through the study of this divertimento in the performing skills.
