These two overlapping perspective describe the history and real scenery complementarily with the slow pace, which seems as if walking in a clean river. People can feel the life's beauty, at the same time also question and think about modern life. About the time treatment, Cao Wenxuan have adopted the method weakening or being far away from actual history time, not choosing those significant subject matter. He have not adopted positive and fierce description even if having chosen significant subject matter, but described that from the side, and described big subjects through minor aspect such as a spray of life. The broad social life and great time are just a blurred background of his novel; the writer wrote articles in contradiction and narrated warmly in daily life. The unique aspect of Cao Wenxuan's novels is that he was particularly good at refining poetic beauty of the extraordinary life, captured the beauty of human relationships of the simple life, praised those people facing hardship circumstances with elegant bearing, and had strong humane and caring spirit. The writer dissolved prose factors into his novels, though which added for the novels a bit of aesthetic taste and brought beautiful enjoyment for people's soul, if the writer pursuits of the aesthetic feeling and poetic creation excessively, overly pays close attention to the trivial bits, being indulge in his own emotion and misfortune, which will to a certain extent weaken the depth of the novel idea, and dilute the strength of the thought. Classic novel works are classical and popular; the reason is that they have not only aesthetic pursuit, but also profound and heavy thought. We call for prose writing, but we also need the writers and the works which have profound and heavy thought.
