Dualistic Religion, Military And Political Tragedy And The TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom

To inspect what resulted in the failure of TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom has a certain value academically from the power system. On the reasons for the failure of TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom, mostly academics attempt to examine these from its feudal leaders, political corruption, military strategy mistakes, and cultural, social, economic and other radical policy. There are few works which make an analysis of the fate of TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom from religious and political system. This paper attempts to explore this preliminary view to inspect reasons from principal contradiction, which helps us to know form of political organization of TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom and its relationship with fate.The thesis is divided into three parts:The first part: binary system of Religion of Worshiping God formed. At the beginning is an account of the process of creation of Religion of Worshiping God. Three elements of the religion include religious consciousness, religious groups and organizations, religious norms. Religion Of Worshiping God with its three basic elements in this point in 1847 marked that Taiping Heavenly Kingdom's religion-Religion Of Worshiping God took shape. The background of binary system formation is that Feng Yunshan was arrested in the winter of 1847; Hong Xiuquan was in GuangDong. Religion of worshiping God occurred Yang Xiuqing said something on behalf of God during the period when there was no leader of the state. Later, Hong Xiuquan's alliance with Feng Yunshan and Xiao chaogui had emerged in which Xiaochaogui was in behalf of God, thereby four power structure formed which included Hong Xiuquan, Yang Xiuqing, Feng Yunshan and Xiao Chaogui. With the development of the revolution, Yang Xiuqing's position had arisen in power structure which resulted in the change of pattern gradually. Binary Religion system expedited the formation of the binary military and the political system. So, this part plays the key role in the whole text.The second part: Binary the military and the political system of TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom. With the breakdown of Hong Xiuquan and Xiao Chaogui's alliance, the power structure had changed. YangXiuQing's religious privilege, military ability, strict military discipline and loving policy consolidated his position politically. The regime established in Yongan enabled him to gain power that could have a restraint on other leaders because he mastered religious, military, and political power. Binary power system of TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom eventually formed in which emerged two leaders, Hong Xiuquan and Yang Piquing.The third part: the performance of TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom's binary religion, the military, the political system and its tragedy. Religion of Worshiping God played positive role in revolutionary propaganda, campaign and development in pre-revolution. After capital was set in TianJing, Yang Xiuqing mastered all the power. Hong Xiuquan's power was in unstable situation when God the father repeated to the world. Yang Xiuqing suppressed and divided others'power intensified the internal contradictions of the ruling class. Binary system damaged the normal operation of the power. Yang Xiuqing forced Hong Xiuquan to call him'long live',which led to TianJing incident when TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom achieved a major victory in 1856,thereafter, TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom ended the dual system.Conclusion: TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom rose by religion, perished from religion. Defects of binary system of religion were beginning its fall. The fundamental reason for TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom's failure was binary power system which played a more important role in many facts such as in activities of the military period rise; power of establishment and after capital was set in TianJing. However, this binary system is not a normal structure, so it existed temporarily with transitional features. Hong Xiuquan and Yang Xiuqing had a sharp confrontation at power distribution because this power structure lacked check body. The end of TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom's feudal regime was inevitable due to its historical period and class limitations. In China during feudal era, it was a sacred feudalism virtue dogma that a country did not have two emperors. Hong Xiuquan had been deeply rooted in imperial thinking, so he was unwilling lose real power, Yang Xiuqing was not satisfied with the current status, forcing Hong Xiuquan to call him'long live', which led to TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom's tragedy. Religion of worshiping god was meaningful politically because it was used as a political tool to launch the anti-Qing dynasty movement after Yang Xiuqing was in behalf of God the father and Xiao Chaogui was in behalf of Jesus. But the emergence of the binary religion system speeded up formation of the binary military and political system, therefore TaiPing Heavenly Kingdom arose and doomed because of Religion of Worshiping God.
