The thesis aims to study the moral values of the classical realism theory in international relationships from the respective of the four realism scholars: Machiavelli, Karl, Niebuhr and Morgenthau, interpreting the major contents and views on realism morals, thus illustrating the inheritance and relevance of the moral values of them. Through the research, the background of realism morals is to analyzed; the misunderstanding to Machiavelli is clarified; it is incorrect to consider that realism neglects and ignores moral values and the moral values of Machiavelli, Karl, Niebuhr and Morgenthau are also analyzed, Thus comprehending that the development of realism morals is in the form of a succession of clear historic inheritance: Machiavelli is the founder of realism moral values; Carl is the critic of the idealism moral values and heir of realism morals; As one of the few realistic theorists, Niebuhr has built up a solid theoretical basis of religion for moral values of realism. Morgenthau, as an outstanding realism theorist, is a synthesizer of moral values of realism.This thesis is composed of three parts. The first part, the definition of morals and moral values, the analysis of the background of realism moral and the reason for the choice of Machiavelli, Karl, Niebuhr and Morgenthau as the study target. The second part is the central one, introducing moral values of Machiavelli, Karl, Niebuhr and Morgenthau. The third part is the general summary of moral values of realism.
