Traditional researches into and his works mainly focused on such aspects as detailed annotation, paraphrasing, and textual research, etc. After the liberation, people were concerned with the value of the thought embodied in his masterpiece and the style of his proses, but did not pay deserved attention to his fables, not to mention a systematic study into it. In order to study his fables, this paper mostly explores the subject matters of these fables, thoughts reflected in them, and artistic features of them, and can fall into four chapters.Chapter 1: Hanfei and the survey of his fables. Hanfei was the most prominent representative of Thoughts of Law in the Warring period, and was also a great thinker who had absorbed other thinkers' thoughts in late the Warring period . He summed up his ideas, ending up with a book entitled, in which fables were highly esteemed and established his outstanding status in literature history. This paper firmly believes that the standard of Hanfei's fables is: the fables were used to express Hanfei's feelings .They must be narrated by Hanfei and had complete pot.Under the standard,this paper will evaluate the fables in one by one.Chapter 2: the subject matters of his fables. Generally speaking, his fables were based on quotation and adaption of fairy tales, processing and alteration of historical events and his original creation. These fables almost included all sources of fables of the period before and in the Qin Dynesty. Amony them, the most oustanding was to have altered and transformed historical events. This chapter will analyze the way that Hanfei processed and transformed the historical stories with emphasis. At the same time ,I am going to analyze the reason why he mostly chosed the historical stories and seldom chosed any myth as the subject matters from the aspects of the people, the times, his special status,etcChapter 3: thoughts reflected in his fables. The fables in reflected the thoughts of Hanfei completely and systematically .These thought can be roughly divided into two parts: the political thought and the philosophical thought. The political thought included the ruling by law view ,the ruling by technique view and the potential governs view. The philosophical thought were consisted of the simple materialistic natural view , materialism epstmology ,dialectical view ,evolution conception of history and value actuel efficiency practice theory view.Chapter 4: the artistic features of his fables. To start with, realism was characteristic of his fables. The ways he chose his subject matters, produced images and expressed feelings were different from strong romantism basically characteristic of Zangzi's fables. Secondly, blazed the trail for the magnificent construction of "fable group" by employing parallism, progressiveness and repetition, etc. The part of "Chushuo" in could be the half-finished products that Hanfei didn't finish timely. The beauty of bantering humour is unique of his fables, like beauty of humor, beauty of rediculousness, beauty of mockery and the ways he bantered were exaggeration, displaced sense of beauty, contrastive foiling .In conclusion, this paper is a systematic research of the fables in . I had carefully read and analyzed . At the same time, I also profited from the reseaching results of the predecessors.
