Based on Darwin's evolution theory, Memetics is a new theory to interpret cultural evolution. Research and discussion concerned are being carried out heatedly. As a newly emerging science, memetics is still a brand-new theory in Chinese academic field and possesses tremendous research potentiality. A meme benefits the development of language, and at the same time it benefits itself by language in the process of replicating and transmitting.Zhao Benshan's short comedy is filled with strong local flavor. The linguistic style is humorous and the linguistic feature is distinct. However present studies have not arrived at certain theoretical height except some comments on its linguistic features. This thesis attempts to combine linguistic theory with Zhao Benshan's short comedy from memetic perspective, putting emphasis on the typical language memes. So we can enjoy the enchantment of Zhao Benshan's short comedy. In addition, the combination in the thesis also demonstrates thoroughly that successful language memes can adapt to language use and the need of communication. It is not the first time memetics is applied to explain linguistic phenomenon, but it is the first time for the author to analyze Zhao Benshan's short comedy with memetics. So it is a creative try, which makes the research valuable and practical.
