Metacognition is often regarded as"cognition's cognition", which includes three elements, that is the knowledge of metacognition, experience of metacognition and the monitoring of metacognition. Metacognition skill training is to teach and develop students'knowledge and skills of metacognition. Its main content is to teach students making suitable plans and adopting effective studying strategies according to their own features, studying materials and learning tasks and requires. Therefore, students can monitor, feed back, accommodate and amend studying strategies and process in order to achieve the goals more quickly and effectively. This paper stems from the theory of metacognition , summarizing the metacognition training skills and points out a kind of systematic training way for improving metacognition to the application of practical teaching for elementary school and middle school , aiming at improving students marks and abilities.This research adopts the methods of experimentation and questionnaire. It does an experiment towards the students of grades two to nine by improving their level of metacognition. The capacity of swatch is large, so it is representative to some extent.The result of experiment shows that metacognition skill can be improved through training. On this experiment, we found students'level of metacognition has been developed obviously, therefore students'marks, learning positivity and abilities have also been improved.The result of experiment shows that the effect of training for improving students'metacognition is obvious. Statistical analysis shows that the controlling class students'skills of metacognition and studying marks are much better than ordinary class students'. The controlling class students'metacognition level and studying marks are much better than what appears before experiment.This experiment proves that the training for improving metacognition can absolutely improve students'marks and abilities. In the teaching process, through the way of teaching students more effective learning methods, students'studying burden could be lightened.
