An Image And Concept On Art Of The Chinese Feminism

Feminist art is relatively weak in the art fields of both China and other countries. Both feminist art's practice and its theories inevitably have tendencies of some ideology and radicalization. The purpose of this paper is to try to explore more reasonable ways of consideration and art expression and help China's feminist art to develop more positively, orderly and steadily by describing something in Western feminist theories that are worthy being discussed and radicalization of feminist art. China's feminist art from 1995 to 2005 is not only disposition but also accumulation. Its characteristics is mainly embodied in the return and discharge of the female's self-conscience and its diverse and fresh expression. The author does not want to advertise the female artists but try to provide a new observation angle and explanation way for China's feminist art, find a conceptual stage to feminist art in recent decades and deeply consider probable problems that would be faced by feminist art. The author expects to contribute to feminist art theories of the world and China's feminist art distinction research by sorting out China's feminist art mainstream of the development in recent decades.
