It draws on the folk legend of Xinjiang, full of the local and national comedy sentiment of Xinjiang and also of rich Uygur musical style. In the music of this opera, Wang Shiguang fuses the national melodic materials and the western creating techniques with frequent use of the expressing ways of western operas.
