Through exploring and focusing on the traditional elements, as well as borrowing the successful experience in using native language in graphic designing abroad, we can infuse fresh vitality for the art of graphic designing, and find out a new path the development of our localized designing set in the background of economic globalization.Graphic designing is still at its infant stage in China that lays much stress on pragmatism and its commercial application and ignores the cultural connotations and native characteristics, only a few graphic designers cast their attention on the excavation of our own traditional culture. Instead of going back to the past and repeat the history, the current designers are being nourished with inexhaustible nutrients from our long-standing cultural tradition. Yet it still remains a challenging conundrum now in teaching modern graphic designing and modern designing how to excavate and utilize the traditional elements in our culture.
