Looking back for one hundred years history of aesthetic research in comtemporary China, the aesthetic research has always been in a straits owing to this subject has never been set apart from others. Therefore, the author attempts to explore the boundary of aesthetics and philosophy theoretically and tries to make it so as to lay a elementary foundation for the aesthetic research and development in contemporary China. The relationship between aesthetics and philosophy is very complex, that's the reason why the thesis illustrates this issue in terms of this point. Historically speeking, the development of philosophy has experienced a long period but aesthetics is short. In terms of their relations, aesthetics derives from philosophy.For such an elementary and theoretical subject, the thesis mainly develops its analysis and discussion in critical ways. In the first place,the language critique, namely the analysis form the verbal meaning of a specific word to its languge meaning and understanding the meaning of the word which would be the key conception in the context in terms of language itself. Secondly, the thought critique, that is to say, we make the position of the word in the context and its specific meaning that endowed by the subject in term of thought.When it comes to the building up of boundary theory,boundary means the structure of thought differences in thought meaning field. The introduction of boundary theory is very effective for the comparative research of trends of thoughts or the history of its research development as an independent structure. What it has illustrated and what it hasn't, what it will illustrate and what it should illustrate, these description are vitally important about the four questions above. On this basis, the differences between thoughts can appear dearly, while the structure of the differences is the boundary of thoughts historically. Both the differences of thought structures and the structures of thought differences make the phases the thought development clear and thought lined with others, thus, the relations between different thought phases and their respective positions in the whole system could be much clear.Therefore, the boundary should stand at the differences of structure or the structure of differences.The boundary of aesthetics and philosophy. The"love"of"wisdom"and the"wisdom"of"love"are the special and specific structures of differences or the differences of structures, which connect aesthetics and philosophy, and differentiate the two.
