England was undergoing a transition period from 16th to 18th century, thatis to say, England transformed itself from traditional society to modem society,from agricultural to industrial society. The transformation of the English societyinitiated the development of politics, economy, religion and culture, whichinevitably influenced the family that is the most small and the basicorganization.The family is a social unite that often change and develop, its change havea good relationship with the productive force, social mechanism. Familystructure, the relationship of family remember, family function changed from16th to 18th, the change of mode of production, the reform of politicalsystem, the occurrence of religion reformation and the spread of new idea andculture in English society of 16th-18th century all offered social background forfamily change and development.Writer take the family change as a content of the social transition to study,and hope we could understand deeply England society through this essay.
