The Research On The Extension From Graphic Design To Space Environment

At present times, graphic design is not only a medium to transmit visual information, but also is an essential element to the formation of modern space environment. It bears the burden of recreating the space environment, that is, once graphic design enters into the space environment, it will make positive or negative effect on the features of it. Therefore, it is worthy to be studied of how to improve the form of the sense of beauty of graphic design in the space environment This thesis combines the major of graphic design with space environment design.Firstly, it analyzes the necessity and its significance of extending from graphic design to application of space environment from the perspective of psychology, the discipline of creation, transmission and aesthetics. Then, it makes an analysis of the current situation of the application of the extension from graphic design to space environment. Furthermore, it elaborates the classification of that and the forming elements like words, graphs, colors and so on. Through interpreting the typical cases, the study explores the applicable approaches and channels of extending from graphic design to space environment. The author expects, on the one hand, to enhance the cross-integration of graphic design and the relevant majors, and to broaden the research space in graphic design theory. On the other hand, the author hopes this application can serve other designing majors and enrich the expression ways of design. Through the study of the extension from graphic design to the application of space environment, the research is to reflect that modern design blurs the boundary of majors.
