With the rapid development of economy and society, more and more people care about spiritual life, and pay more attention to the art of ceramic. Fencai, the art of ornamental porcelain, is attracting collectors' great attention all over the world. Fencai art and Chinese painting belong to different arts, but they have close relationships, basing on which the dissertation discusses in details the relationships between Chinese painting and Fencai art in Yongzheng and Qianlong dynasties by comparing and analyzing history background, including politics, economy and culture. At the same time the dissertation will prove that generation and development of ornamental porcelain aren't isolated, on the contrary ornamental porcelain has many affiliations with Chinese painting, benefiting from each other, depending on each other. Through the discussion, the dissertation provides a new cognition platform for present innovation and development of ornamental porcelain. In order to make the study accord with impersonality facts, the writer will endeavour to refer to historical materials, especially compare landscape, character, bloom and birds painting in Ming, Qing dynasties with Fencai art porcelain, and then sum up their similarities and differences to demonstrate the reason of them.
