A Study Of The Sounds Of Alxa Ejin Patois In Mongolian Language

In August, 2006, the author went to Alxa Left County andinvestigated the people in Alxa Huxut Patois. Alxa Huxut Patois canshow the characters of Alxa Ejin Patois and is a very representativelanguage on the tongue aspect of Alxa Huxut Mongolian people. Basedon the materials which had collected in the investigation, the authorillustrated the characters of Alxa Ejin Patois sound by comparing theMongolian language with other interrelated Patois. The dissertationcontains seven parts.Preface briefly introduced the purpose of the proposal and the basiccondition of Alxa Ejin Patois, the previous situation of the study, thecategory of the study and the source of the materials, the content andmethod of the study, etc.In Chapterâ… , author compared the vowel phonemes of Alxa EjinPatois with the Chahar Patois and Oirad Patois and described theircharacters.In Chapterâ…¡, author made a comparison between the consonantphonemes of Alxa Ejin Patois and Chahar Patois and Oirad Patois, thenexplored characters of them.In Chapterâ…¢, author compared the vowel harmony, the consonantcombination and the syllable structures of Alxa Ejin Patois with ChaharPotois and Oirad Patois and explained the rules.In Chapterâ…£, author discussed the sound changes of Alxa EjinPatois.In conclusion, author pointed out the same characters of the soundssystem of Alxa Ejin Patois and Chahar Patois and Oirad Poaois andsummarized how to distinguish the characters of them.Appendix includes the bibliography and the material and recordfrom Alxa Ejin Patois.
