Tempera Painting And Modern Painting Materials

Studying Material is new way to explore painting .Western classic painting has developed from indirect language to direct expression .Simultaneously ,the materials of the two paintings were changed.In the development of the material .Tempera is the most important achievement in Renaissance .Tempera ,which is very close to the oil ,is a very important section for the western painting materials .So studying Tempera is significant to develop the modern painting material .This thesis include two sections .First is the material and technique development of western painting .In this section , I study the technique , paints , medias , paste , renovating , maintain ,supporting media . and so on . In the second section , I introduce the modern materials and their us age . studying the relations of the accient Tempera , we can improve expression of modern painting .
