HongYing, an outstanding writer of the overseas Chinese literature, had try to several topics, literary styles and to widen the topics in the globalization trend, which consequently forming the open aesthetics style. As one of the 1960s, the style of Hongying is similar to the writers born in the 1960s in mainland China from many perspectives, which indicates her close relation with the literature of mainland China.This thesis try to investigate the 8 novels of HongYing. According to the theme and content, they are divided to the early, middle and late stage. The first stage is the works of the beginning of her immigration, which reflects the character of avant-garde; the second stage is the four novels after experiencing kinds of difficulties, which indicates the unique understanding of the reality; the third stage is the "trilogy of Shanghai", on the Shanghai topics, after increasingly frequent contact with the home country, which was rewritten by the way of the historical narration from the female's perspective.The thesis adopts the research methods of literature reviews, Text Analysis, Feminist Criticism and cultural studies to investigate the depth of the three stages of her novels. The writer attempts to analyze the overall and periodical characteristics and to explain the new characteristics of the Overseas Chinese literature in the context of globalization. In the meantime, the importance of the combination of culture study and Text Analysis when studying the Overseas Chinese literature was illustrated.
