With the soaring development of Chinese economy as well as the powerful enhancement of Chinese political and cultural influence, more and more people are indulging into studying Chinese language as their second language for study and communication. However, in the course of practice, most western students have some problems in Chinese acquisition in common, and the ultimate reason for those phenomena lies in the nationality differences and psychological differentiation.As the research of teaching Chinese as a second language goes deeply, people are aware of the fact that if we don't know how the students study Chinese, our Chinese education could not be improved. Research of Chinese acquisition becomes to be quite important, and people pay more attention on the research. The aim of the research is to uncover the mystery that how foreigners apprehend Chinese and make our teaching activities accord with the language studying.The content of language acquisition includes the acquisition of both language essence and national culture reflected by the language. In comparison between Chinese and Western languages, both of them possess their own cultural specialty respectively. The research of Chinese acquisition involves many fields, such as linguistics, psychology, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics etc. Therefore, since there are lots of variable factors, the research also must be linked with other related fields and keep proceeding on a basis on the specialty of Chinese and Han-nationality. Nevertheless, in aspect of both abroad and home, because there is a long road for the study of Chinese language acquisition, especially on its width and depth, to go, the rules and inner disciplines of Chinese acquisition need to be researched further in various kinds of views.Focusing on the function of psychological factors in course of Chinese acquisition, taking psychological differentiation between different nations as break-through point, this thesis is to analyze the psychological cause of problems in course of language acquisition, and try to induce the western students overcome the psychological impediment in intercultural communication and to establish a mental mechanism to make their acquisition be more efficient.The preface of the thesis points out that psychology, society, culture and nationality are variable factors which can influence the behavior of Chinese acquisition, providing a thinking clue for readers. Chapter One, namely, "Psychology and Language" tries to put an emphasis on an important role which the psychological factor plays in the course of language using and acquiring, with the relation between psychology and language as a break-through point. Chapter Two, "Comparison between Chinese and the western psychologies", focusing on the nationality thinking mode, characters, inclination as well as sensibility, attempts to find Chinese-western psychology differentiation and analyze the intercultural communication impediment brought about by this kind of differentiation. Chapter Three, "Psychology Acquisition in Course of Chinese Acquisition", studies the impact of nationality psychology towards language acquisition and addresses the concept of "Psychology Acquisition", which embrace national psychology as one part of Chinese culture, acquisition's content, makes the western students realize and understand their psychological conditions as well as Chinese national psychological features in a process of cultural acquisition so as to unintentionally eliminate their own national psychological conflicts brought by cultural differentiation.Psychology acquisition emphasizes on the mental mechanism of transforming students' own psychological sense into the sense of the objective-language society. In the utilization of objective language, this kind of mechanism will play its role so as to eliminate a possibility of impediment emergence of intercultural communication.
