Research On Xu Hun's Poems That Commemorate The Past Or History

Xu Hun, a important poet of the late Tang Dynasty, received both praise and criticism for his poems. Xu tried poetry works, particularly his poems that commemorate the past or history got highest achievements, the greatest impact. As yet no complete and systematic study on Xu Hun's poems that commemorate the past or history. This paper will make a system study on Xu Hun's poems that commemorate the past or history, taking the social culture ideological trend at that time into consideration and combing life experience and individual character of the author himself. The focal point is to seek author's style and feathers of works in term of probing into his thought and emotion.The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part, Xu Hun's life experience, his personal ideal and his poetic creation are generally introduced. In the second part, the author comprehensively and systematically analysis the poetry presentation. In the first analysis of poems that commemorate the past or history, the historical figures and events of concern. Its concerns were historical figures and events across the ages, from three generations, and down to the Tang Dynasty poet's life, and rich content. From then on these historical figures and events of the poet's verse, the poet summed up the feelings based orientation and the inevitable result. Poet feelings result mainly concentrated in three areas. The final assessment is made by artistic achievements.
