In the context of international cultural trade, the article sets Mainland China TV-plays as the primary research object and regards the region of Hong Kong and Taiwan as the principal overseas market. According to the theory of economics and the character of market, the article will bring forward some strategies and measures of export for the historical TV-plays and real-life TV-plays made by Mainland China on the basis of analyzing the status quo and the correlative reasons in the way of combining theory with practice and integrating culture study with theory of communication and international trade. The study aims at promoting the Mainland China export of TV-plays.Firstly, the article introduces the properties and types of TV-plays and describes the status quo of TV-play industry in Mainland China. Secondly, it analyses the factors which make some impacts on demand for TV-plays in the region of Hong Kong and Taiwan, cultural factor, communication factor and economic factor. Thirdly, it generalizes the two different status quo of export about historical TV-plays and real-life TV-plays. Fourthly, it studies the respective reasons of the two different status quo of export with focus on cultural discount, comparative advantage, economic of scale, demand preference and industrial development. Finally, according to economic models and theories of trade, the article puts forward respective strategies and measures of export on the basis of analyzing the characters of Hong Kong and Taiwan markets and taking in some valuable experiences from America and Korea.
