Wuthering Heights, the masterpiece of Emily Bront , a famous early nineteenth century British writer, is generally acknowledged as a classic work in the history of world literature. Since it came out in 1847, it has received widespread reviews from critics both at home and abroad. The thesis puts the novel into the myth to analyze from the perspective of archetypal criticism, expecting a further understanding of it through the analyses of archetypes in characters, structure and images. The uniqueness of Heathcliff and his respect for dike through revenge eventually leads to his destruction according to the clue from love to loss, to revenge, and then to tragedy. Meanwhile, it expresses the kind human nature, split human nature, twisted human nature and recovered human nature respectively. And the concern is about the reality, respecting human nature.
