School-upgrading system played a major role in the whole school system as well as in the talent selection system. Northern Song Dynasty is the important period for forming the School-upgrading system. The thesis tries to make a dynamic research on the ups and downs of School-upgrading system in Northern Song Dynasty, manifesting the changes and theory and practice of the ways for Northern Song Dynasty how to deal with the relationship between school and imperial examination, cultivating the talent and selecting the talent, and draw a lesson from it. It consists of seven parts.Part One.
