On Jia Pingwa Fiction In The Hometown Feeling

Jia Ping'ao, the famous writer of country, has an outstanding mind complex that most of the men of letters from country have, which is the deep love for his hometown. He was born and brought up in Shangzhou till 19 years old, and then he went into the city for study, work and life. Though he have lived in city for over 30 years, he chose countryside as the subject matter of most of his works, demonstrating countryside customs, country fellow's life and social changes, and expressing the relative positive thought on the future of country society in a view of man of letters. All his works and thought are based on his hometown of country.
