The paper analyzes the influences of Zhang Henshui's writing consciousness on his novels from a new perspective based on his works and current research situations on the popular novelist.The paper discusses the writing consciousness of Zhang Henshui's popular novels from three aspects.Firstly, the paper discusses how he writes out the works which are widely popular among readers from the perpective of the consciousness of readers and the acceptance of readers,and how the mutual relationship between works and readers has been formed and how it can be possible which implies the value of literature production and acceptance, which has successful experiences of others to go by for the development of Chinese literature.Secondly, the paper discusses how Zhang Henshui pours contemporary social concerns and new consciousness concepts into his novels, without sacrificing the recreational function of popular novels from the perspective of social consciousness. Zhang Henshui merges his social responsibility into his writings which has enlarged the depth and rang of Chinese traditional popular novels owing to the deep social concerns in his works in addition to amusement.Thirdly, the paper discusses the reforms on Chinese traditional popular novels to which Zhang Henshui is devoted by analyzing the text practically from the perspective of stylistic consciousness. Zhang Henshui keeps the outstanding elements in Chinese traditional popular novels and discards what are out-of-date. Meanwhile he absorbs and transforms the expressive forms in New Literature and Western Literature to mix successfully together with narrative skills in traditional literature, which has freshened the old traditional form.By discussing the writing experiences of popular novels of Zhang Henshui, we have a better understanding to the peculiar "Zhang Henshui Phenomenon" and the reason why his works are prolonged. The achievements of Zhang Henshui have successful experiences and literature sources of others to go by both in literature study and literature writing nowadays when popular literature has been revalued. The study of Zhang Henshui is meaningful to enable us to know and evaluate the development and creativity of popular novels in new times.
