There were human beings on the present Longnan city administrative area in the New Stone Age. During the harsh development of its economic construction and prosperity, they carved a lot of things on the tripod, the stone as well as the tablet through some primitive means. It is not only of great historic significance, but also embodies a wealth of psychological excellence.Longnan is an area where plenty of nationalities live as well as an important stranglehold located in the northwest of China. But the manuscripts which tell us the historical, cultural and economic development are seldom subject to careful protection and scientific studies, leaving much rooms for our to probe into. The stone tablet and bronze are little and neglected. However it comes short of flexible investigation. So the salvage and protecting and using are the beginning on the research of the stone tablet and bronze. For the purpose of exploring and providing significant resources to accelerate to research of northwest, especially Gansu province, promoting and transmitting of the morale of our country mate, I have spent nearly a whole year in the comprehensive investigation, sorting and study of those ancient and invaluable materials.According the present investigation, this paper totally collects 430 chapters about these ancient inscriptions, which are 280,000 words in all. 48 of which are from Wen county, 45 from Wudu county, 89 from Cheng county, 18 from Kang county, 7 from Tanchang county, 49 from Hui county, 82 from Li county, 22 from Liangdang county, 70 from Xihe county.
