The Researches On Graphic Semantics Of Current Graffiti Art In City Space

The research on graphic semantics of current graffiti art in city space is the relatively comprehensive analysis of the city sub-culture in which the graffiti plays the main role, and it is also the reply to the question of integration of the graffiti and the city environment. The principal researching method is to think over and solve the problems from the macroscopical aspect to microcosmic one in the overall system of the current graffiti. By means of the researches ,analysis of graffiti , the comparison of creative opinions and attitudes of graffiti between western countries and eastern countries, the new public artistic language can be predicted and analyzed. The future direction of its development is also clear. The current graffiti has its unique marginal and intersectional characteristics. Although it is controversial and its works is underlying, it becomes more fashionable and is paid more attention by creative industry. In the past, the graffiti was ignored, but now it is more popular than before. The graffiti is created by special artists to show its value in top galleries and artistic bidding block in northern American countries.In chapter one, the main research direction is the origin and the academic orientation of the graffiti. The Chinese character of the graffiti existed from Tang Dynasty. It is originated from the YUCHUAN ZIJI.YUN TIAN DING . The author of this book used this word to describe the naughty behavior of scrabbling. This art is called graffiti in English, which was orientated from the Italian language "graffito", and graffiti is the plural form of graffito which means originally some mural paintings and the pictures in caves in the process of the study of ancient relics. From the literature meaning, the graffiti was occurred in ancient ages. And it interrelates to ancient pictures in the rocks and the mural paintings. However, it has changed with the times and different periods. After World War II, the sub-culture movements in America promoted the development of graffiti and the artistic phenomenon of POP which the two things were interrelated and interacted from both the graphic images and the reflection of creating reality.Chapter two introduces the problems and the controversies of current graffiti. It discusses a question that whether this kind of art is the intentional damage to the city, or the artists can create graffiti works arbitrarily. And the author gives the examples of German and France. The current graffiti, as a young artistic carrier, provides special visual sources in visual pictures and creative industry. In recent years, current graffiti is playing supplementary role in creative industry. It can reflect the sense of vision and pictures in many aspects. European young graphic designers create works in which pictures are similar with graffiti. American artists is using digital graffiti to explore the tendency of future public art of the city.
