This paper first introduces several crucial concepts in the study of Information Structure (IS) analysis, then it makes a comparative review on the main conclusions concerning them achieved in several of the most relative linguistic theories such as Functional Sentence Perspective (FSP) and Systemic-Functional Grammar. Based on these traditional conclusions, the paper proposes some new understandings of them by conforming some comparable ideas of different theories and revising some others. Then a sample corpus analysis is provided to illustrate and substantiate the new proposals of these concepts. Finally, a general conclusion and further research proposals are made.
