In the history of Modern literature, Zhang-ailing is a woman author who has made outstanding achievements in fiction creation. This thesis attempts to have a study on Zhang-ailing's fiction creation and explores her unique aesthetic standard and creation theory in her cultural activities.This thesis consists of three parts: Part 1 elaborates the reasonableness of the characters' destiny and tragedies in Zhang-ailing's fictions from the angle of original sin. Man is born with original sin. Therefore the tragedies in their lives are inevitable. When Zhang-ailing was reflecting on life, she was concerned about the tragic destiny of human beings with great sympathy and the sense of original sin. Her works present us with a writer full of sympathy and understanding from a distinguishing angle. Part 2 expounds zhang-ailing's outstanding and sober creation perspectives by discussing the na(?)ve and trusting life she presents to us. She didn't deal with the big events in and after the May 4^th Movement in her fictions. Instead, what is displayed in her fictions is the happiness and sorrow of common people. Her fictions always focus on the lives of the common people. From the trivia in people's lives, The readers have an understanding of the profound human nature. Zhang-ailing makes a good combination of both the stories and the meaning of life in her fiction creation. Part 3: As a woman author, Zhang-ailing discerns the natural instinct of woman. This part discusses her description of woman's current situation and innermost feelings with her female consciousness. She is contaminating the traditionally man-centered social cultural construct system with her artistic technique. Meanwhile, she questions the feminism perspective that represents progression in the May 4^th Movement. Her fictions finally returns to the complicated inner world of the women and shows great compassion to the realistic trouble that the women are in.In the 20^th century, the conflict between the Chinese culture and the western culture has totally changed the features of the Chinese literature, which makes it geared to the world literature. The creation practice and perspective of Zhang ailing, which is full of determined and independent characteristics and humanism, is sure to help the writers today figure out the way to progress in face of the today's polynary culture reality.
