Laotzu, also known as Tao Te Ching, is the most famous classic of Taoism school and Taoism in China. Although it only has a little more than 5,000 words, it contains plenty of philosophical thinkings. It takes a very important position in Chinese ideology and culture, so Laotzu is considered as the founder of Taoism school. The ideas which it contains has made important contributions to the development of ideology and culture of ancient China, and produced far-reaching impacts on it. It also has an important position in the world history of ideas. Laotzu had translated into Japanese, Russian, German and English, and many countries considered it as a wonderful work in ancient philosophy. As an ancient work, it involves almost all the issues in today's society. With its unique wisdom, it tells people how to follow the way of life, society, and universe. At the same time, many words in it relates to the central issues of modern management, which needs us to keep on excavating and researching.The object of study in this thesis is Laotzu. The thesis is on the basis of results of ancient and modern research, and based on the methodology of historical materialism. It uses the methods of interpretations, systems analysis and comparative analysis to investigate the management thoughts in Laotsu. It can be divided into five parts:1. The basis philosophy of management thoughts. It mainly talked about the "Way" and the dialectical thinking.2. The management principles of natural inaction. To discuss the management principles of inaction from the aspects of "Tao Follows Nature" and "inaction are all".3. To use the Tao of the weak. To discuss the management methods in Laotzu, mainly from the aspects of taking weak position, retreating to make progress and without struggle in a lower position.4. The inner quality of managers. The quality of the managers which is involved in Laotzu is summarized.5. Concluding remarks.
