Since The Dulcimer Art Looked That Modern Chinese Music Has Developed

Based on the modern history of Chinese music, this paper makes a comprehensive and systematic study combing on the course of the development of Yang Qin.The modern history of Chinese music is world- famous for its solid foundation and extensive adoptions in a long historical process. It has successfully integrated various musical cultures of different peoples and nations. From the perspective of the development history of the musical instruments, Yang Qin has experienced the process of cultural infiltration, fusion and evolution of the Chinese nation, rooted and grown in the fruitful Chinese culture, and eventually been a part of Chinese musical system. Since the arrival of Yang Qin in China, it has melted into Chinese folk music, developing till today. It is in such a cultural context that Chinese Yang Qin transforms to be Chinese-style which disseminated with Chinese culture and traditional nutrients.The main points of this article read as follows:Chapter 1: The introduction of the world dulcimer (Yang Qin) culture and the origin of Chinese dulcimer development. In this part, the three major systems of the world dulcimer and the origin of the Chinese dulcimer will be introduced. Additionally, another focus is to expound on the historical background of the Chinese dulcimer import, as well as to analyze the influence of the introduction of dulcimer on music festivals of that time.Chapter 2: The development of Chinese-style dulcimer. Take the development of the modern Chinese music as a background, this paper will demonstrate how dulcimer evolved gradually from a foreign musical instrument into a national style. Meanwhile, it will make an introduction of the traditional schools of dulcimer and their developments that have been formed since the modern times.Chapter 3: The development of dulcimer arts after the founding of People's Republic of China. In this part, the main study will be put on the development of dulcimer after the founding of New China. Several decisive factors which impact the modern development of dulcimer will be analyzed, such as, the process of musical instruments reform, the characteristics of each creation phase, etc.Chapter 4: Dulcimer music from the combination of Chinese and Western music in Modern China.In the contrast modern times China tradition musical instrument and in the external musical instrument development condition foundation, discusses the Chinese dulcimer to evolve the development, as well as Chinese dulcimer and modern music history development characteristic union.This paper makes a study combing on the three stages of dulcimer's development history with a method of induction. It summarizes various characteristics of dulcimer art that have been embodied in the course of constant development, and finds out adequate evidences which will back up the characteristics of dulcimer art in the history of modern music- learn from the past.
