Each outstanding work must transtmit one kind of emotion, display one kind of spirit, thus causes people's mind shocking. The tension, as one of important formal factors what make the art work becom shocking and moving has appeared its value gradually.So we should understand and graspit, then, make it serve for our art artistic creation. Pan tianshou's drawing that transmits the dynamic vitality and the vigorous charmmakes itself becom the traditional .Chinese painting creation that can express the national spiritand the age spirit by using the tension of form. This article from the angle of visual perception , mainly profits from American esthetician Rudolf Arnheim,the Russian art theoretician and painter Wassily Kandinsky's researching results, uses the method of situational analysis, and, gives an overal and systematiszed analysis and research to Pan Tianshou's tension of drawing form for attemping to obtain some kind of enlightenment form the Chinese landscape painting creation.The first chapter mainly unfolds from the explanation of tension, so that the reader can have a thorough understanding for the tension, To obtain the tension is one kind"motionless moving", is the strength which the work is opposite yet complementary. The tension is not only resorting to the mind,the induction between the mind and the form .Then narrates"was mad that","the potential"and"the rhyme"what appeared in China's ancient painting discussion,and make a compariison with tension. Then, give a concret study to Tang Dynasty's masterpiece"Saluzi" of"the Zhaoling six steeds"and the Northern Song Dynasty painter Fan Kuan's "Brook Mountain Traveler Chart". This study can illustrate the embodying of tension in Chinese traditional artistic works. Finally the showing about the necessity of the tension of drawing form to studies about Pan Tianshou.The second chapter introduces Pan Tianshou's biography, the conduct and the artistic inheritance with emphasis. Because these are closely linked with the Pan Tianshou drawing's tension manifestation and the sive of tension.To the famal tension, Pan Tianshou's is rational, and he makes it become one method for transmitting his emotion . His drawing form with own emotion is highly consistent, the emotion is the directly melted together with the form.The third chapter is this paper key point. Through to the Pan Tianshou drawing's spatial processing, the picture division, the physical image modelling, balanced, opens and closes, the writing technique, the color, to inscribe one's name, aspects and so on boundary to prove concrete manifestation of tension in Pan Tianshou's works.The fourth chapter just from three angles to illustrate the meaning of the study about Pan Tianshou's tension of drawing form . These three angles are"the artistic work must display the emotion and the modern sprit""the artistic work must be vital and imaginative"as well as the change of the modern demonstration space .In the conclusion pointed out that Pan Tianshou's art is not only the nationality, moreover is the world. Pan Tianshou's drawing is one kind of tendency beginning, a movement initiation.
