Theory And Cultural Meanings Of Rememberance In Ancient Literature Theory And Criticism

"Remembrance"as an universal phenomenon in China ancient literature is of great cultural meanings. This phenomenon has been valued by theory and criticism for thousands of years. The words of remembrances in China ancient literature theory and criticism increased day by day, and eventually form a very special theory pattern which represents Chinese culture and tradition typically.This thesis takes Feng Zhen-luan's evaluation about LIAO ZHAI ZHI YI for an example to discuss the theory and cultural meanings of"remembrance"as an theory and criticism pattern, and points out that"remembrance"as a typical pattern at least has two important meanings: first, it represents the proof of traditional culture authority and basic orders of Chinese ancient society and culture. Second, it shows us an effective way for ancient Confucian intellectuals to pursue their self-fulfillment and immortal value. Meanwhile, the western"intertextuality"theory can enlighten us to realize this phenomenon from a new angle of view. And we can find there is no doubt that the special pattern so-called"remembrance"is very important for inheritance and boom of Chinese ancient literature and culture.
