The Research On The Main Articles And The Supplementary Articles Of Yue Jue Shu

Yue Jue Shu-an important book recording early history about ancient Wu and Yue, has been taken seriously by scholars all along. Scholars have got a lot of research achievements and showed different views. But many questions are not solved, still waited for further investigation and discussion. On the foundation of their research results, my thesis mainly concentrates on the writing age and historical materials origin of Yue Jue Shu. And I mainly expound my viewpoints from three aspects.First, the record and study about Yue Jue Shu in history.The earliest document record of Yue Jue Shu is Ruan Xiaoxu's Qi Lu in Southern Dynasties, and then Classics aspiration of Sui Dynasty History, Classics aspiration of old Tang Dynasty History, Classics aspiration of New Tang Dynasty History and Classics aspiration of Song Dynasty History ,however , have just recorded the roll number and the author of Yue Jue Shu, do not have recorded the article names. Until Song Dynasty, Chong Wen catalog began to record the number of articles of Yue Jue Shu. Zhao Xibi's Jun Zhai Du Shu Zhi in Southern Song Dynasty started detailed record about each articles' name and order. Chen Zhensun's Zhi Zhai Shu Lu Jie Ti started to doubt the views about the author, the content and writing age of Yue Jue Shu. And after Yang Shen in Ming Dynasty explained the argot of Yue Jue Shu's final chapter, scholars began to study the number and name of articles of Yue Jue Shu, as well as the writing age. Zhou Shengchun, began to study the history materials and writing age of Yue Jue Shu in deeper degree. This signs the studies about Yue Jue Shu begin to enter deeper degree.Second, the study about the main articles and supplementary articles of Yue Jue Shu.On my opinion, the eight inside sheets of Yue Jue Shu (including Wu Tai Bo and Bing Fa which are already dissipated) , is works of the Western Han Dynasty which are written by the Spring and Autumn Annals scholars in Wu and Yue, giving an account about ancient Wu and Yue's history and geographical features. It's writing age approach that of History. As historical materials about the Spring and Autumn Period, the main articles have spreaded among Chun Qiu scholars in Wu and Yue, passing from teachers to disciples, after they have been completed. The supplementary articles came into being in this process gradually. Pian Xu supplementary article is the article which is put in latestly. Since it was written in early ages of Estern Han Dynasty, the other outside sheets of Yue Jue Shu must be finished before this age.Third, the literature characteristic of inside sheets and outside sheets of Yue Jue Shu and the national spirit of Yue.The literature achievements of Yue Jue Shu have been in dispute all along. I put my efforts on the analyses of different literature characteristic of inside sheets and outside sheets and the national spirit of Yue. The inside sheets are simple and unsophisticated; the outside sheets are peculiar and difficult to understand. But the inside sheets and outside sheets of Yue Jue Shu both embody the literature characteristic of ancient Wu and Yue from Warring States period to the Western Han Dynasty times.
